Review:
First, let me say a huge THANK-YOU to Erin for sending me a copy of her first novel! Let me tell you, it did not disappoint!! WOWZA is all I can really think to explain. This book had so much going on, and if you follow me on Twitter, Facebook and Snapchat, you will most likely have seen me discuss how obsessed I have been, and constantly thinking about this book when I wasn't reading it!

I honestly finished this book so fast given the lack of time I really had to read (but I made sure I spent my time reading it I'll tell ya!) Honestly, I thought that there were definitely some things I would have preferred, which I'll talk about, but the fact that I just finished this, and am already wishing that I hadn't read it, so I could re-read it all over again, really speaks something!

So when starting the book, it really jumps right in, and tells you all about what is happening. The speed of the book was fast paced, and I felt like I was just turning the pages faster than I was reading it! You definitely got a feel of who Chloe is, although there were moments where I wished she was a little more secure of herself and acted a little older than she was.

Moving on to Kyle...Well let me tell you, at the beginning, I kind of knew who he was when Chloe first bumped into him. It was easy to figure out, but I was still super excited to read about this kind of story!! I mean who wouldn't want to fall for a guy who had friends that looked like this as well?...Although I have to admit, I kind of like the character Jake a little more ;)

While reading the story, I totally understood so many different perspectives. I read more about what kinds of fans are like, what it's like to be the "famous" type, as well as what it's like to let people down. I definitely felt what Chloe was feeling when Kyle wasn't able to do some of the things that he planned on doing beforehand.

Although I am one for a cute romance-which it totally was- I do have to admit, that I found their relationship to be a little too fast. Like they connected and sparks were flying by chapter five. Being that it was a short book, I understood that it needed to happen, so more could be revealed...which it SO WAS!! I do think that for the age it was intended for, I felt like Chloe and Sam kind of talked and acted a little younger. I got the vibe that they were more fresh out of high school rather than college, yet as I progressed more to the story, I didn't really think about age at all! It was like there was no talk about school, and more about their personal lives more, so I didn't think about age after that.

There were definitely a lot of moments where I caught myself laughing out loud to the way that Sam was interacting with them all. Also the fact that some of Kyle's friends had interacted with both Chloe and Sam. I totally thought for a bit that Sam would end up *ahem* 'connecting' with one of the guys, but I was actually really happy about how her story played out. I also really loved the sisterly connection Chloe and Sam have. Even though Chloe has sisters and both parents, they weren't as close as she may have liked. Which is why I found that Sam was always trying to push Chloe out of her comfort zone, and to actually go for something based off your heart rather than what you think is the logical reason. I found that she was a huge supporter, and she really did help Chloe go for things that most probably wouldn't.

As I kept reading, I was happy to read more about Chloe and Kyle. I loved the connection that Chloe had to all of Kyle's friends, and that they all really did like her. I could tell that she was a little taken back by the whole lifestyle, but at the same time, there was so much love and connection between them all, it was more like a family (away from her family). They were definitely a lot of fun, and I really enjoyed reading about Sam, and Kyle's friends, along with Chloe and Kyle's story.

Man oh man! Moving on to the emotional aspect of the novel! Way to play with the heartstrings Erin!! OMG I was up for Chloe, then the next I was pissed over a twist, I totally didn't see coming, and happy, then devastated, then happy and so on... Like it was such a roller coaster of emotions, and I totally felt it from beginning to end! I totally love the relationship that happened, even if it was a little fast at first. Kyle had so much for Chloe, as she had for him. I really liked them together, and all of the adventures they went on together!

I was totally loving the part where Kyle surprises Chloe with a sweet melody, as well as his friends coming up with Glow! I also loved the little surprise I had read at the very end of the book. For a few chapters before it, I was almost yelling at it hoping that there was more. I mean it ended well, but I totally WANT MORE!! Also, things definitely got a little steamy in a couple of those scenes! Let me tell you! That comment about an Ice pack...

Alright, now of course through the book, I actually did find a lot of quotable moments. Here are a couple that were great!

"This was a day I would want to remember for the rest of my life. I didn't care what I looked like, that didn't matter. What mattered was how I felt, and that was something I wanted to make a memory of."

"He looked into my eyes and I could see his vulnerability. He wasn't some untouchable superstar. He was a normal man who was in love. With me."

Overall I really loved this book. It was fast paced, kept me wanting so much more after every page. There was a cute love story that happened, and although there were some moments or things that I wanted more of, I really love how it all played out! This was a novel I couldn't put down, and if I had to, It was all I thought about. I definitely fell for every character, especially Kyle and Chloe's love for one another, even through the toughest times. It just showed that sometimes, you really need the space to help you stay stronger as a couple. I really hope that there will be more of this, even if it's a story about Jessica and her newly founded relationship, all the while keeping the other characters within the story. I just want more!!

That's all for my review of Going the Distance by Erin Mahoney. I really hope you liked it, and I seriously urge you to check this out! If you're looking for a cute light read, I totally recommend picking this up!!

So until the next time, Keep Reading!!
