Summary:
I’ve been captured by the Ice Lords, and I fear they’ll never let me go.

What was supposed to be a fun night out at a hockey game is derailed when I accidentally find myself in the rival team’s locker room.

Not only do I get an eye full of chiseled bodies, but I also overhear a secret that could destroy the reputation, and future, of every player on the team.

Before I can decide whether I should run or hide, the choice is quickly made for me when a pair of piercing green eyes meet mine.

Callan Cromwell—the brooding center of the Lords hockey team. Not only did I steal his virginity in high school, I shattered his heart when I insisted we never tell a soul.
To make matters worse, he’s my best friend’s brother.

As soon as the leader of Callan’s pack discovers I’m onto their sinister plan, he makes a vow to ensure my silence. At my expense.

Now I’m caught in a web of secrets and my only chance of surviving is to do exactly what they say. What he says.

As I’m swept deeper into their savage world of power plays and fierce loyalty, I begin to realize that in this dangerous game—at the mercy of these men—I just might be the biggest casualty of them all.

Review:
First, I'd like to thank Rachel and team for sending me an ARC copy of Break Your Pucking Heart. This was a bit different than what I normally read, since I don't always dive into a dark, why choose romance, but let me tell you Rachel did NOT disappoint!!

Right from the beginning, you dive into an intense story that might not be for everyone, but if you stick with it... it gets so much better, hotter, and intense in all the twisted but good ways! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time reading this book, going through so many emotions and definitely getting my hatred for Cal out. That is until his friends/pack leaders enter the chat, then it gets way more interesting!

Avery really is a strong willed woman in this book. It's kind of a fresh of breath air to read a character that's not so... weak, shall we say? She stands toe to toe with these guys and while some things are very questionable, at the end of it all she is in control of herself. Even when she has moments where panic sets in, she begins to take control of that as well to push the fear away.

And throughout the story, I really loved reading the growth of Cal. Their past of course finally gets brought to light and you can feel that everything changes in that moment. But watching Cal get this possession over Avery, especially with his pack leaders looming in the background, it makes you change just how you saw him in the beginning.

Like I said before, this is a different type of read than I'm used to, however it was so so good! The way Rachel weaves in this dark and mysterious story into an enemies to lovers romance makes it so hard to put down! And the way you learn more about Avery's mother as well is a whole other level. It was just perfect!

And that ending?!! I mean talk about major cliffhanger there! I'm DESPERATE for book 2, because of course just as you're falling in love with these two, so many things start falling and the end, leaving you wishing you had the next book already!

Overall, I really loved this story and I can't wait for the next book to keep reading and find out what'll happen between Avery, Cal and the Ice Lords! It was a roller coaster, and a thrill, leaving me wanting more! Unputdownable read, hot, and emotional!

That's all for my review, if you're a fan of dark romance... this is the book for you!

So until next time, keep reading!
Your Graduated Bookworm!! :)
