Summary:
I have two goals this season:
1. Stop enough pucks to get the Seattle Serpents to the playoffs.
2. Don’t fall for my fake fiancée.
When Lilah Maddison’s mother keeps trying to set her up on dates she’s not interested in, she blurts out that she’s already seeing someone. The problem? She’s single.
So, I step in to help and agree to pretend to be her boyfriend for an event. But when things go awry, we’re no longer just dating—we’re engaged. Now, I have to find a way to keep her family off her back and our team in a playoff spot, all without falling in love with Lilah, which seems more impossible with each passing day.
She’s funny, driven, drop-dead gorgeous, and not afraid to make the first move. I know we’re playing a dangerous game, yet I can’t stop myself from having feelings I definitely shouldn’t be having, especially not for my fake fiancée.
It’s my job to block, make saves, and keep the puck out of my own net, but this might be one match I can’t win…and I might not want to.
EMPTY NET is a standalone hockey romance novel. There's a cinnamon roll goalie (who is a very good boy)who is fake engaged to a headstrong heroine, found family vibes, slightly unhinged group chats with teammates, plenty of steam, and a happy ending.

Review:
First, I'd like to thank Teagan and her team for sending me an ARC copy of Empty Net! I honestly think this series is getting better and better with each book that comes out, because this one might be my new fave of the series! That's hard to do, considering she has a few amazing couples that I've been addicted to!
With that being said, this dives right into Lilah & Fox's story seamlessly with Fox putting himself in the situation of being Lilah's boyfriend that quickly turns into an engagement to get her horrendous mother off her back. But as we all know so very well, fake relationships can only last for so long before real feelings get involved, and I think it's safe to say that Fox has had real feelings for Lilah from the beginning... even if he didn't want to admit them!
I swear you could feel the emotion dripping from the pages as you continued to read. While their relationship was supposed to be fake, there were all these really small moments laced throughout the book that really captures your heart. Like Fox was literally written by a woman, but this man can pick up on so many queues it's not even funny. One thing I'll mention is just the whole mug situation. I won't dive into that until you've read it, but that just goes to show you that some men really can read women easily, and Fox has it down to a science.
Another thing that I was rooting for, and so glad it happened was the situation with her parents. They're truly awful people and the fact that Lilah has had to endure their digs for so long is insane. When she finally gets that backbone for herself... I was like POP OFF, she really needed that moment. There's of course so much more that happens too, which I was like, HELL YEAH! But of course that's something you'll need to read to find out what happens!
As always I absolutely LOVE the single group chat, it gets me every time. Not only that but the found family dynamic of the team and their spouses. Just having a group of people who truly care about you even if they're not blood says a lot. And the relationship Hutch has with Lilah was really something, and I loved it! You can't go wrong with a found family, and perks when they're all hot hockey players... amiright?
Once Lilah & Fox realized things were no longer fake, things get HOT! You couldn't cool these two off with a fire hose. The attraction was steaming off the pages!
Overall, this was another amazing read from Teagan Hunter and I hope it's not the end of her sports romances because I could eat up her writing for days!! This was an emotional, entertaining, heartwarming and steamy read that I highly recommend! I DEVOURED the book and could not put it down!
That's all for my review, I hope you enjoyed it, and be sure to grab your copy today!
So until the next time, keep reading!
Your Graduated Bookworm!! :)
