Summary:
Callahan Hastings is relentless when it comes to getting what he wants, and what he wants is me–to be his private chef in the Hamptons for the summer.

My dream job served to me on a silver platter by one of the wealthiest members of Pembroke Hills Country Club.

The only catch? He’s my ex-boyfriend’s older brother with a reputation for being as charming as he is cunning.

But Cal doesn’t take no for an answer. He draws you in with flirty smiles and extravagant promises.

I should have seen him coming, but I didn’t. I should have stayed away, but I couldn’t.

His playful touches and burning gaze have ignited a fire in me. The more I resist him, the more irresistible he becomes.

I've always known there's an expiration date on the job–an expiration date on us.

But leaving isn't going to be easy with Cal on his knees, begging me to stay...

Review:
First, I'd like to thank Kat Singleton & Team for sending me an ARC copy to review. This was definitely an anticipated read from Kat for me, and I have to say it was packed with all the things!

Right from the beginning, you're drawn in once again with this ex boyfriends brother romance, but this time things are different than the last one Kat wrote. With Lucy wanting to be a private chef and expand her love for all things cooking, it's the perfect setup that Cal hires her for the summer. Or so we think. Of course she has no fear telling him no over and over, but with some time, she gives in and takes the job. I mean he's willing to pay top money for you to cook for him, girl get the bag!

Once things get going, you can tell that he's totally fallen first. There's nothing he won't do for Lucy and it really shows. There's some moments that i don't want to get too deep into without spoiling, but I will say Cal is literally sweet and spicy. He knows what he wants, and also will do anything for those he cares about. There were a few times I wanted to reach in and give Lucy a shake with her reluctance to all the ways Cal was showering her with things, and the way she kept fighting her feelings.

One thing I will say I wish there was more of was her back story, and family. I felt like we didn't get to read much into that until like halfway through the book, and I feel like if we learned that sooner, then you'd understand more of the way she is the way she is. I personally feel like it would've strongly connected more had we learned about her family earlier on. That's just me though, and I will say that once we did get this information it does open your eyes a bit on why she's so adamant about being back home and helping her parents out. I think once the cat was out of the bag, it helped really smooth the story over and give the reader that fist pump in the air when the rest of the story plays out the way it does. Again... swoon-worthy!!

I must admit, Cal had me hooked on him from the beginning. Getting to see the both of them grow not only individually but together was amazing, and man he was so in love with her from the beginning, I couldn't stand it (in the best way that is). Another thing that I loved reading was the cooking aspect. Of course you're going to get parts of that with her being a private chef, but there were so many moments between the actual cooking that was revolving around food that was sweet and fun! Cal really shows Lucy just the kind of man he is, and he is a man in love!

Overall, this was another great read from Kat Singleton! If you read her other billionaire series, you'll definitely enjoy this one as well! It was an entertaining, and quite steamy (hello multiple chapters worth!) and had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next!

That's all for my review, I hope you liked it and be sure to grab your copy today!

So until the next time, keep reading!
Your Graduated Bookworm!! :)
