Summary:
I should’ve known Lincoln Pierce was trouble from the moment I held my knife to his throat.
I’ve been running for most of my life, hiding away in a small town and hoping no one discovers who I truly am. The only problem is that I can never let anyone know the real me. Or at least that was true until my brother moved his best friend onto our shared property.
Now, I’m stuck trying to avoid the nosy billionaire’s probing questions and piercing stares. And it doesn’t help that I almost killed him the first time we met.
Oops.
But when all my carefully crafted lies come crashing down around me, it’s Linc stepping in to shield me. And when it looks like the person hunting me for all those years is back, Linc will do anything to keep me safe.
Only it’s not just my safety at risk. It’s my heart. Because when Linc touches me, I lose all sense. And when I truly get to know the broken billionaire, he’s so much more than a ruthless business tycoon. He’s the man showing me that it’s time to really live.
But I’m not the only one with secrets. Linc has them, too. And when the forces from our pasts emerge from the shadows, it’s with only one goal: to end the new life we’re building together. For good.

Review:
First, I'd like to thank Catherine and her team for sending me an ARC copy to review! This was another amazing read from the Sparrow Falls series and I gotta say probably pulled at the heartstrings even more than the last!
Right from the beginning you dive into what could be the most terrifying moment for Arden with her past and now so many years later being in hiding still, always wondering when her past would come find her in the present. Never opening up to people the way she would want to, including the found family she has grown to love. There's a lot of baggage she deals with, and you can see how much it affects her on a daily basis. Of course when Linc comes into the picture there's so much more getting uncovered, and so much growth Arden goes through, it was amazing to read!
One thing I'll never get enough of is Lolli & the Colson family. They are seriously the definition of found family through and through. While they may not all be blood related, that doesn't stop them from being there and protecting one another no matter what. And when Arden's past starts making an appearance, it's like flipping a switch and all of her family members are there including her adorable side kick Brutus who I would totally want to have at my side always after reading this!
Of course like any Catherine Cowles book, you know there's a suspect that's living within the town and we never truly know who it is until closer to the end. But the teasing and antagonizing throughout the story really keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering who is the one to catch. Catherine managed to keep me on my toes, although I had one part of the suspect figured out, the way she brought you there was so entertaining!
Of course Linc and Arden's relationship is definitely explosive. While she's trying to keep him at arms length, with her own battles... he's just knocking all those walls down and taking up the space to show she can be loved and nothing bad will happen. They have their spicy moments, but I truly think it's the more smaller, protective & heartwarming moments that they have together really become the star of their relationship. I mean their meet-cute was with Linc having a knife to the throat... doesn't get any more interesting than that!
Overall, I LOVED Beautiful Exile! It was a roller coaster ride, Arden's journey was tough but so well deserved and it really did pull at all your feels from beginning to end! I was on the edge of my seat waiting to find out who the suspect was going to be, and while I may have partially figured it out, Catherine knows how to shock you and leave you with your jaw on the floor! This was no exception!
That's all for my review, I hope you enjoyed it and be sure to check out this entire series, you seriously don't wanna miss out on it! If you love suspense romance... this is the series for you! Hell, all of Catherine's books are for you!
So until the next time, keep reading!
Your Graduated Bookworm!! :)
