:

There are many rules a priest can't break.

A priest cannot marry. A priest cannot abandon his flock. A priest cannot forsake his God.

I've always been good at following rules.

Until she came. Then I learned new rules.

My name is Tyler Anselm Bell. I'm twenty-nine years old. Six months ago, I broke my vow of celibacy on the altar of my own church, and God help me, I would do it again.

Review:

Alright, so I'll admit I was easily influenced to pick up Priest, and while I think there could have been more to the story, this was definitely the type of *spice* I needed to kick off January!

I'm gonna start off by saying, I really do wish we could have read like a couple of chapters from Poppy's perspective. I would have loved to learn a bit more about her, and her own thoughts between herself and Tyler. Don't get me wrong, Tyler's thoughts are anything but pure... especially considering he is a priest, but we quickly dive into that from the beginning. Another thing is the relationship with his family. I totally get he is a family man, but I didn't feel that strong of a connection with them. That being said, when they are together there is a nice bond between brothers and it does make me intrigued to read their stories.

Now let's get on with the spice because I. Was. Here. For. It! If you're reading this in public, be sure you've got a portable fan and lots of ice water, because DAMN did things get hot between Tyler and Poppy! And there was plenty of it! I was hoping that with them sneaking around, you'd have a couple of moments where they might get caught, but that didn't really happen. And there were many moments where they could have easily been caught!

From the beginning I was sucked in and so curious to know about Tyler, his life and his past. His sister plays a significant role in this story and when it's finally brought out as to why he made the choices he did, it was the best moment for Tyler. The way he opened up and made himself vulnerable was perfect and emotional.

I'll admit, as the story went on there were moments where I wasn't sure things were going to work out. Between Poppy's past and Tylers, plus the present obstacles he's facing... I think the last 20 pages had me wondering if we would get an HEA.

Overall this was a good story! There was some growth between the characters, their struggles and trying to decide what they want for their future. Most of the book is definitely spice, but I mean we already know I'm a fan!

That's all for my review, I hope you enjoyed it! If you're looking for a story with plenty of hot sexy scenes, this is the book for you.

So until next time, keep reading!
