Summary:
Bee Hobbes (aka Bianca Von Honey) has a successful career as a plus-size adult film star. With a huge following and two supportive moms, Bee couldn’t ask for more. But when Bee’s favorite producer casts her to star in a Christmas movie he’s making for the squeaky-clean Hope Channel, Bee’s career is about to take a more family-friendly direction.

Forced to keep her work as Bianca under wraps, Bee quickly learns this is a task a lot easier said than done. Though it all becomes worthwhile when she discovers her co-star is none other than childhood crush Nolan Shaw, an ex-boy band member in desperate need of career rehab. Nolan’s promised his bulldog manager to keep it zipped up on set, and he will if it means he’ll be able to provide a more stable living situation for his sister and mom.

But things heat up quickly in Christmas Notch, Vermont, when Nolan recognizes his new co-star from her ClosedDoors account (oh yeah, he’s a member). Now Bee and Nolan are sneaking off for quickies on set, keeping their new relationship a secret from the Hope Channel’s execs. Things only get trickier when the reporter who torpedoed Nolan’s singing career comes snooping around—and takes an instant interest in mysterious newcomer Bee.

And if Bee and Nolan can’t keep their off-camera romance behind the scenes, then this merry little meet cute might end up on the cutting room floor.

Review:
Okay so this was one of my last reads for 2022, and I have to say I had higher hopes for this with the amount of media coverage for it. If you're looking for a holiday read, I would still suggest picking it up, because you may love it more than I did!

So to get this right off the start, this book was too long in my opinion. 400 pages for a holiday romance... don't think that was the best. There were definitely many parts that could've been cut down and shortened and you still would have enjoyed this story if it were maybe capped at like 300 pages. Another thing was the amount of people raving for the spiciness, but honestly... I enjoyed the one and half real spicy scenes, but other than that there wasn't much compared to other books I have read. And considering what Bee does outside of this movie set she's on, you would have thought there would be more spicy scenes.

I will say, there were many moments I did enjoy! The connection between Bee and Nolan was there. It did get emotional between these two, and that ending... so cute! You could feel them wanting one another and the attraction they had for one another. I also really loved the fact that Bee wasn't like a size 2. I always love reading heroines where they are larger, because that's more relatable to many women including myself.

I did find myself wanting to know more as they tried to keep Bee's secret life, well, a secret. I was hoping for some parts where they almost found out, or almost caught her and Nolan together but that kind of fell flat. I do think that everything major happened right at the very end, but it didn't entirely give me the satisfaction like some books do when so much happens at the end.

Overall, the story was good and there were moments that had me wanting to read more. The connection between Bee and Nolan was so sweet and did get a bit of spice, but I think with it being so long, I lost some interest. It was entertaining though and some moments had me laughing out loud!

That's all for my review, I hope you enjoyed it! Like I said, just because I don't love a book doesn't mean you'll feel the same. Check it out if you're looking for a holiday romance!

So until the next time, keep reading!
Your Graduated Bookworm!! :)
