Summary:
They said she was going to be my ruin...
Then let her ruin me.

Caleb Lockhart has everything—wealth, adoration, a brilliant future. Until a chance encounter with a siren in a red dress changes everything. Until he meets the woman he dubs Red.

Veronica Strafford's past makes it hard for her to trust anyone. Now, kicked out of her apartment, she reluctantly accepts Caleb's offer for a place to stay.

Caleb feels intensely drawn to Veronica. And, for the first time in his life, he really wants something—someone. Too bad Veronica's heart might just be the one thing Caleb can't win.

Review:

I've had Chasing Red on my shelves FOREVER and I so wish I could say I loved it... but I just didn't. Now it could have been my reading mood at the time, but it just didn't get there for me.

So the storyline was there. Wealthy bad boy who sleeps around, falls for the "innocent" female who can't trust people. I think this story was a great idea, however there was a lot of writing that could have been cut down in my opinion. Once you get about halfway through, it drags a bit. Then it comes back around towards the end which brings my interest back.

The friendship dynamic with Veronica was actually pretty cool. I really liked how they fell to one another and actually talked. Veronica irked me a bit with how much she kept pushing Caleb away, when he time and time again is trying to prove to her how much he loves her.

There were some moments between Caleb and Veronica, but I just wished that she didn't push back so much and let their relationship go somewhere. I realize that there's a second book to continue their story, but I am not really interested in continuing...

Overall, this was a good story, and I know a lot of other people enjoyed it. It just wasn't for me. I couldn't click with the characters as much as I has hoped for a college romance. If the story was shorter and ended on a bigger cliffhanger for me, I'd be interested in continuing.

That's all for my review, I hope you enjoyed. I'd definitely say to check this out and see if you like it!

So until the next time, keep reading!
