Review:
First, I'd like to thank Bloom Books for sending me a copy to review!

This was my first book from Mercedes Ron (while yes I've seen all three movies from her previous series as well as own them too) I was intrigued! This for sure gives the same love triangle vibes you see in books like My Life With The Walter Boys, The Summer I Turned Pretty, etc. However it's a bit more mysterious because what do you mean the family left and just came back, and yet the three of them pick up as if no time has been spent away... yet they're now older and have stronger feelings for one another?!

I listened to the audio as well as reading the physical book and I have to say the narration was great! I really enjoyed reading from all three perspectives in here, instead of just one or two. I think it adds to the growth, relationship, and overall story by having both brothers perspective.

Something about Thiago working in the school makes it feel way more like an adult romance than a YA, including other themes that are in the book. There is this dynamic that changes their relationships a bit more since when they are in school, he's not exactly one of them. Would I complain about some secret rendezvous in the school? No. But it for sure adds to some more forbidden vibes.

There were for sure some moments where I was a bit apprehensive, but as the story went on, it's clear as day which brother Kamile really wants, even though he's not exactly making it easy for her. There's an attraction that's there beneath the layers, and as much as Thiago is trying to reign it in, you know he's a goner for her.

Watching her relationship with Taylor though is really good though. Like the way he treats her and protects her would make any woman flip flop between the two brothers! So getting to read his POV really levels up the book!

I don't want to say too much without spoiling, but I will say that the reasons why Thiago hates Kamile might be a bit too harsh. Until we find out more in the next book, I really don't see how what happened was all her fault and those moments that Thiago clings to, I just want to reach into the book and give his head a shake!

Overall, this was a really entertaining read and I definitely can't wait to read book 2 after that cliffhanger we were left on! It's a great start to this trilogy and I can't wait for more!!

That's all for my review, I hope you enjoyed it and be sure to grab your copy today!

So until the next time, keep reading!
Your Graduated Bookworm!! :)
