Summary:
Handsome, grumpy, workaholic.
I know what everyone says about me–just an atm where his heart used to be. Which might be true, until I saw her.
I can’t stop fantasizing about my new assistant.
Bright eyed and too young, Reese is not meant for someone like me.
3 reasons why I absolutely cannot fall for her:
1. She knows about my double life as a tattoo artist
2. I don’t do relationships
3. The way she doesn’t put up with my demanding ways
Should I have moved her desk outside my office? No, because now I have to see her constantly. Nothing says stay away from the good girl like late nights ordering her favorite take out just to see her smile, right?
One kiss and I’ll figure out how to have a night with her.
One night and I’ll be asking her to spend the weekend with me.
One weekend and I’ll have to find a way to win her heart.

Review:
First I'd like to thank Ann Einerson for sending me an ARC copy in exchange for a review. I'm still obsessed with Reese and Dawson, and so cannot wait to dive back into this series and these characters some more!
So one thing I want to mention is if you've read the other books in the Aspen Grove series, you have the pleasure of seeing them pop up into this story, however When You Give a Lawyer a Kiss isn't IN Aspen Grove so technically I guess it's not part of the series, but it's within the world. I would still read them in order for the best reading experience and have this book be read between books 2 and 3!
From the beginning I was drawn to this story. Dawson and Reese were honestly perfect in so many ways, and I seriously LOVED that he was not only a lawyer but a tattoo artist! It just shows that he's more than his one main line of work and there's always more to a persons story, which I was so captured by!
Something that I loved between the two is that it's an obvious age gap, yet they worked SO WELL together! Dawson is well established in his career, bot as a lawyer and tattoo artist, and is ruthless yet sweet at the same time, and Reese is just getting her career going while trying her best to ensure she is making enough money to support not only herself but her grandmother, which let me tell you is a feat in itself. There were many times where I wanted to reach in there and shake Reese and say "Just let the man help you already!!" but of course she's strong willed and is trying to not be a bother to anyone.
There is one particular character in here which you all will find just as annoying as I will, and all I can say is him and his family have the day they deserve! Every single scene they were brought in, I just wanted to junk punch them so hard, but of course Dawson to the rescue, knowing exactly what is going on!
And the steam. Let me tell you some "forbidden" workplace scenes going on in the office was getting steamy, but I was not upset about that at all! Get yourself a fan and some water to cool you down after reading them.
Another thing I really enjoyed reading was both character's development. Dawson was so stuck in his head that he had no friends, and it would always be about work especially with his upbringing. Yet at the same time, Reese had a similar upbringing and has been trying everything she can to have a career similar to Dawson's but in a different field that would have benefitted him back in the day. You really see how their own individual stories are so close to one another, yet the way they were raised may have been different, it didn't stop them for going for their dreams and goals. In the end, they both brought out something in one another and it was so beautiful.
Overall, this was another great story by Ann Einerson! If you're a fan of age gap, workplace romance, with a trip to a small town getaway, and a little bit of some drama to toss in, this is the book for you! Be sure to check it out alongside the other titles within the Aspen Grove Series!
That's all for my review, I hope you enjoyed it and be sure to one-click your copty today!
So until the next time, keep reading!
Your Graduated Bookworm!! :)
