Summary:
Summer nights can be full of surprises.

As a single, unemployed, and unapologetic twenty-five year old mess, I came to the Hamptons this summer for one reason—to focus on myself and work out my quarter-life crisis. I didn’t come here planning to sneak into a private party and meet a handsome stranger.

I definitely didn’t come here expecting for that stranger to be Preston Rhodes—billionaire and superstar quarterback for the Manhattan Mambas.

And that’s not even the crazy part.

He asked me to be his pretend girlfriend for a week while his family is in town. He needed a date for his sister’s wedding, and I’d never turn down the opportunity to be spoiled by a rich man.

The only thing is, Preston’s not very good at pretending.

Now instead of discovering myself, I’m spending the week discovering what life would be like with him. Instead of focusing on me, I’m focusing on how he looks at me, how he touches me, how he wants me.

But now that neither one of us is faking it, I only hope that we can hold on to what we have through the bright lights and summer nights.

Review:
First, I'd like to thank Kat Singleton & team for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review. This is definitely my FAVORITE book from this series hands down!! Each book that Kat writes, just gets better and better and this was *chefs kiss!*

Right from the first chapter, I was hooked on Emma and Preston. Their banter, their insecurities, and how they so easily molded together as a couple and Emma with Preston's family. It seemed so effortless, and I was falling in love with them both chapter by chapter.

Something that I connected so well with Emma right off the bat is that she's in her mid 20's and doesn't know what she's doing with her life. Doesn't know who she is, and is wondering what she wants in her future. There was one particular moment I highlighted where I've never felt more seen in this aspect, because as we get older, it seems like this happens more often than not. And of course when she runs into Preston, things take a turn, and as the reader you're left wondering what is going to happen to the girl that's set out to find herself. Don't worry, Kat wrote this book perfectly and the way things turn around a few times I'll admit broke my heart, but also put it back together. It's exactly what's needed to push the story and it was spot on!

And the STEAM. Kat, the way you lit up these pages on fire with your multiple chapters of steam, I need a fan, a hose, some water to splash all over me because it was HOT!! I can't say much without spoiling it, but the spa chapters, ughh so good!!

Now Preston. Right from the beginning, this man had me swooning. The way they both were able to see each other's body language was insane. Like knowing someone that intimately on that level right off the bat is what romance dreams are made of... Preston may have thrown Emma into this wild week, but you can feel the angst, pull, and love forming within that time that there was no way they wouldn't be together!

Something I loved about the both of them was that they're both at a time where they had decisions to make about their future, but one thing that wasn't in question was how they felt for one another. The possessiveness, yet also sweetness of Preston with Emma was next level. All I'll say is the penny, and if you've read it you'll know.

"For once in my life, I'm scared of losing something. I'm more than scared— I'm terrified."

Another thing that I knew where Preston was falling for Emma was the seamless way she fell into his family. One particular scene being the dancing scene. That's all I can say, but it was THE moment I felt like. Like his family just accepted her without question, his grandmother is the friggen sweetest and I agree with the whole Betty White comparison. And the last hour of the book had me on the edge of my seat, my emotions high and practically jumping out of my chair in excitement over all the moments that happened between them.

Overall, I LOVED this story. I was hooked from the beginning, devouring these pages within a day practically, I couldn't put it down! It was emotional, funny, sweet and spicy and my favorite from the series by far! Emma and Preston had me wrapped around their fingers, sucked into this roller coaster ride of a story that I didn't want to leave the Hamptons!

That's all for my review, I hope you enjoyed it and be sure to grab your copy today! If you're a fan of sports, billionaire vibes, and all kinds of laugh out loud and swoony moments... this book is for you!

So until the next time, keep reading!
Your Graduated Bookworm!! :)
