Summary:
In a tangled mess of betrayal and chaos, I was moved almost overnight onto rival territory under the protection of the one man I never wanted to be a burden to.

Jameson King.

In order to keep me safe, he handed me a ring and told me I’d become his wife. It’s a marriage made of convenience, but there’s a thread of truth neither of us want to examine. The past we’re ignoring, the almost we could have had if our lives were different.

If I hadn’t chosen wrong.

I keep trying to convince myself it doesn’t matter, not when we hold hands, or sleep in the same bed. Because Jameson has always held me at arms length, and my ex is coming for me…we’re just biding our time before this all comes to a messy end.

This is where we promise to hold, to honor and cherish…but what are vows made from lies?

Jameson will stay long enough to ensure I’m safe, and then he’ll let me go, just like he always did before.

Review:
First, I want to thank Ashley Muñoz and her team for sending me an ARC and PR box for this FANTASTIC read! As always these are my honest opinions, but get ready for some gushing!

One thing you'll know about me is I am a huge fan of friends to lovers, mutual pining, but when you throw in a fake marriage and pregnancy - but it's not his - then I am a GONER! Right from the beginning I was HOOKED with Pen and Jameson. You get some awesome flashbacks that seriously push the story along, give you exactly what you need to know how things played out between the two of them that lead you to the present.

The development between Jameson and Pen is so good. Like you know they both want one another, and have always been in love with each other. But the ways they try to deny their true feelings, you just want to reach in and slap them both upside the head to finally admit it.

Once the fake marriage was brought into play, I KNEW it was only a matter of time before things took a turn, and boy they did not play around with desires, even if they claim it's all a ruse. You can't deny the attraction these two have for one another. It's literal years in the making!

I want to take a second though and just appreciate Jameson. Like this man will do whatever it takes to ensure that Pen and her baby are protected and safe. Even if it's not his baby, he will take a bullet and die trying to ensure they're okay. This man, literal book boyfriend. He's protective, possessive, but he's also the absolute sweetest and the way his words fall out of his mouth, claiming what he wants and finally telling Pen his true feelings. Gosh this man has me wrapped around his finger! Don't even get me started on the letters!

One thing I seriously LOVED about this story is the fact that they have this new found family of sorts with the Stone Riders. Pen and Jameson are from another club, but the way all of the characters from the previous 2 books show up and take care of them, I just simply CANNOT! And if anything, I mean ANYTHING happens to this father figure of a man that is Harris... I will riot! Ashley Muñoz, you keep this man safe because he had my heart in my throat I don't know how many times with his affection and protectiveness towards Pen and the others. It was so beautifully written of a character like him.

I'm still trying to get my words after reading this, but one thing that Ashley has gotten me on is these damn twists she's throwing in there. I knew something had to happen, and yet she still shocks me Every. Single. Time!! It was intense and it was f--ing AWESOME! I could seriously see this series as a T.V show or movie, because every damn time, I'm sucked in so hard and left with a book hangover.

I don't want to say too much in fear of spoiling anything, but in a sentence... This book will hook you in, give you all the feels, make your heart ache for these two, break your heart & repair in the absolute best way possible and is a MUST READ!!

Overall, this was an amazing read. It gave me all the raw emotion between two friends who've been pining for one another for years. It gave the dangerous MC side with some twists to keep you on the edge of your seat wanting to know what's about to go down. I went on a true roller coaster ride that was Pen and Jameson, and I loved every minute of it! I can't wait to do a re-read and eagerly wait for the next book in this series!!

That's all for my review, I hope you enjoyed it and be sure to one-click your copy today! I'm telling you, you don't wanna miss this!

So until the next time, keep reading!
Your Graduated Bookworm!! :)
