Falling For The Playboy By: Kennedy Fox

Falling For The Playboy (Bedtime Reads #2)
Author: Kennedy Fox
Publisher: Createspace
Published: November 2018
Format: Paperback
Pages: 256
Rating: 4/5
Summary:
Never trust a man who gets paid to take off his clothes for a living and then uses it as a pick-up line to get girls in bed with him.

That should’ve been enough for me to call in sick that day.

I’ve worked with male cover models like him before and they’re all the same—smooth-talking, sexy as sin, egotistical know-it-alls who think they’re God’s gift to women—all traits I know to steer clear of.

Assisting authors comes with many perks—reading on the job, using my organizing skills on a daily basis, drinking coffee by the gallons—but Maverick Kingston barges into my life and demands more than I can handle.

When we’re forced to road trip across the country together, he pushes every boundary I have and rearranges my thoughts on playing it safe. And when he “accidentally” drops his towel, he makes it very clear what he’s offering and proves he’s packing more than abs of steel under his clothes.

Working with him was brutal, but falling for him was unexpected.

And playing by the rules will be impossible.

This is a complete STANDALONE novel — filled with plenty of humor, steam, & romance! 18 & up only due to explicit sexual content, language, and adult content.

Review:
So I obviously dove right into book two after finishing Falling For The Bad boy and holy Hannah was this some serious sexual tension going on here!

Right from the start you dive into this story between Olivia and Maverick. Enthused would probably be the very last word in her vocabulary to explain having to drive with Maverick across the country to assist with her boss's tour.

Honestly this book was absolutely hilarious, non-stop crazy moments, not to mention the banter between the two was just amazing! The only thing for me is that I wish there was just a little bit more oomph to make it dramatic between these two.

morgan freeman applause GIF by The Academy AwardsCan I just take a moment to say how absolutely HORRIBLE Olivia's boss is? Like I don't think I've ever met an author who was so incredibly inside her own damn head, not caring a thing about her assistant or anyone else for that matter. I mean maybe she just needed a good lay, but when Olivia FINALLY stuck up for herself, man that felt so good! Maverick was definitely a helper with that, but I felt like a fly on the wall cheering her on, because DAMN that author needed a kick in the ass in my opinion...

I do have to say all the author signings and the group book signings were amazing to read about. Having been to just a couple, I could totally see everyone falling over for Maverick at the signing (I've seen it in real life too!)

Overall this was a really good book! It was super short, but so fast paced, and kept me on the edge of my seat. I couldn't get enough! The interaction between Maverick and Olivia had me swooning the entire time, I just wished there was something more dramatic between the two to really drive the romance home.

That's all for my review, I hope you enjoyed it and be sure to check out the other Kennedy Fox reviews I have on my blog.

So until the next time, Keep Reading!
