Archer's Voice By: Mia Sheridan

Archer's Voice
Author: Mia Sheridan
Publisher: Forever Romance
Published: February 2018 (First Published January 2014)
Format: Paperback
Pages: 400
Rating: 5/5
Summary:
I wanted to lose myself in the small town of Pelion, Maine. To forget everything I had left behind. The sound of rain. The blood. The coldness of a gun against my skin. For six months, each breath has been a reminder that I survived---and my dad didn't. I'm almost safe again. But the moment I meet Archer Hale, my entire world tilts on its axis . . . and never rights itself again.

Until I trespass into his strange, silent, and isolated world, Archer communicates with no one. Yet in his whiskey-colored eyes, something intangible happens between us. There's so much more to him than just his beauty, his presence, or the ways his hands communicate with me. On me. But this town is mired in secrets and betrayals, and Archer is the explosive center of it all.

So much passion. And so much hurt. But it's only in Archer's silence that we might just find what we need to heal . . . and live.

Review:

First I would like to give a huge thanks to Forever Romance for sending me a copy of this book to review! And let me tell you, WHERE THE HECK HAVE I BEEN THIS WHOLE TIME?!!

Honestly though, I can't even tell you how many people have been shoving this book in my face telling me that I should read it. And it took THIS LONG to actually pick up the book and read the dang thing!

And it was so worth it!

I mean there is just way too much to talk about this books but I'll start with the obvious...This needs to be a movie. It's totally relatable in many aspects for many people and it breaks barriers. Now if it is a movie or becoming one, then I clearly am way in the dark and totally have been living under a rock for a while!

Starting at the beginning, there is sort of a slow burn between Archer and Bree. But then as you continue to read, so much begins to fall into place, and you really see their relationship take off.

So from the synopsis above, you would have read that Archer communicates using his hands, so he tends to sign a lot. I don't think I've really read any books that dive completely into sign language as much as this one has, and honestly it's amazing. I LOVED it! You can really feel the connection and communication while reading it, even if that seems almost impossible, but the way Mia Sheridan was able to write that type of dialogue into the novel, was pretty bad-ass!

To be honest, she had me at the puppies. Nothing is better than having animals in a book, especially if it brings two characters together. Throughout the novel, I found that the purity of Bree and Archer really came through, even with all of the setbacks and--lets just call them villainous--people.

"And try to believe that maybe more light shines out of those who have the most cracks."

You really see Bree become a stronger woman towards the end of the book. Her story isn't something you would think to happen in the world, yet at the same time you kind of can...

Now let me tell you a little bit about Archer. First, HOLY HOTNESS! Wow, how can someone so damaged, and silent from the rest of the town be so loud and outspoken at the same time?! To add on top of that as well, I mean the strength that he has, both physical and not is just phenomenal! There's a moment where Bree is struggling between something that happened between her and Archer, as well as some horrific flashbacks, and what ends up happening during that scene had my heart going a million miles a minute and almost cheering out loud over it all!

The type of connection that they share is more than just physical. It's truly deeper, and their story proves that you can overcome anything, and that you can become a stronger unit when you have a partner to help you get over your deepest fears and wounds.

Of course I found some more quotes, because this story if completely filled with these moments!

"And I thought about the little boy that sweet girl left behind, and how my heart ached for what we might never have again."

"They don't know who you are Archer. They have no idea. And they don't deserve to know. Don't let their judgement hurt you."

There were a couple moments where you kind of find out about Archer's past and I was literally on the edge of my seat freaking out over many parts in the book! There was a moment where a letter falls into Bree's hands and I just kept telling myself that "This isn't happening. It can't happen. There's still more to read!!!" but it was completely raw and emotional throughout the novel.

Overall this was an amazing novel. Definitely my Favourite novel fro 2018 right now! Nothing has been as amazing as this so far, and I don't think anything will! Getting to read the extended ending as well was like a cherry on top! It was fast paced, so many ups and downs, overflow of emotion seeping through the words, and a lot of love and healing in the process that made this story one to stick with you!

That's all for my review, I hope you liked it!

So until the next time, Keep Reading!

Your Graduated Bookworm!! :)
