But falling for him was as inevitable as breathing.
He’s more than just a face in my class.
He’s the man who came to my rescue on one of my darkest nights.
Wilder has become a safe haven against my husband’s monstrous brutality.
Being with him is an escape from the cage my life has become.
With him I’m adored and I’m safe—two feelings I’ve never felt before.
But one mistake, on one unforgettable night, changes the course of my fate.
Or maybe, it just put me on the path I was always meant to be on.
Wilder and I might be wrong to the universe, but in his arms, nothing has ever felt so right.

A sexy reverse age-gap, student/teacher standalone romance.

Review:
First, I'd like to thank Rachel Leigh and Valentine PR for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review! After reading book 1, I've been super excited to dive into Wilder's story knowing it was going to be a doozy!!

I have to say, right from the first chapter, I was hooked on these two and this story. You'll definitely want to check your triggers, because this book deals on some heavy topics like DV so proceed with caution.

That being said, this book was SO GOOD!! Right from the beginning, you obviously know that her husband is a POS, but reading the gradual things that take you to where the prologue starts the book, it's a wild ride! I personally really liked reading more on the life of Catherine and her sheltered life with the mayor as her husband. Of course falling for a student is taboo, but you can't help fall for them both and root for them to be together!

One thing that I didn't totally see coming was how supportive the family was over Catherine and Wilder. Obviously the longer they spend time together, whispers start happening within the schools and online, there's only so long they can stay hidden about it. But what Wilder's family does for the both of them had my heart warming. We know it's unconventional, but damn that support is what they needed!

There was a little twist that happened towards the end of the book. I had a feeling something was going to happen since they seemed way too cozy together over everything that goes down. I also had a hunch of who it was, and yet I was still shocked when it all went down!

The spice though... Can I just say that for this age gap, it was the student becoming the teacher in these scenes and, wow! It was taboo and it was hot! Apart from the steaminess though, you have these moments where it's just Catherine and Wilder together and they get to be raw, deep, and emotional on their own fears, past life, and goals for the future. I really loved those moments where you see them connecting on a deeper level and clearly falling for one another!

Overall, I DEVOURED this book! It had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next, and let's just say that her husband deserved the day he had after all the things he's put Catherine through. It was hot, emotional, raw, and entertaining!

That's all for my review, I hope you enjoyed it and be sure to grab yourself a copy to read! If you're a fan of more darker and taboo romances... this series serves it up on a sliver platter!!

So until the next time, keep reading!
Your Graduated Bookworm!! :)
