Summary:
A sizzling, small town, enemies to lovers, sports standalone romance from bestselling author, Stacey Lynn.

Ava Decker has hated me for just as many years as I’ve spent loving her.

I made a mistake pretending our night together never happened. For pretending I forgot. But we were young and I was getting ready to leave for college with big plans for the future.

I had no plans to return to our small town in Colorado anytime soon and Ava never wanted to leave. That alone was enough to keep me away from her while we both grew up.

And yet, I never forgot about her and what she means to me.

Now eight years later, imagine my surprise, when I come home and find Sleeping Beauty asleep on my couch, thinking I wouldn’t be back home from my off-season vacation for a few weeks.

As a professional football player, I know all about grabbing an opportunity and running with it. This is my chance to finally convince the girl of my dreams to stay and to tell her the truth about that fateful night years ago.

But getting Ava Decker to not only forgive me but to give me another chance comes with a whole new set of plays I’m not used to.

I’ve got all the time in the world to convince her. I’m committed to showing to her that she is my endgame. I let her go once before and I’ll stop at nothing to prove to her that my love for her is real and an unstoppable force.

Review:

First, I'd like to thank Stacey & Valentine PR for sending me an ARC copy in exchange for a review! When I saw the sign ups for the next book in this series, I knew I had to sign up for it! I absolutely love everything about this series, small town, and characters! Stacey has definitely become a new favorite author of mine!

Well there's a lot going on in this book, but let me tell you the emotional rollercoaster that is this story was just that! An emotional rollercoaster that kept me on the edge of my seat and not wanting to put this down! I almost feel like this is also a second chance because while they may be enemies to lovers, they've also known one another for years, and after one night that had changed everything for the two of them, I also feel like it's their chance at proper love.

Apart from that, let's get to the spice and angst because wowza does it ever! Like of course you know they're gonna fall in love, but the hatred, angst and tension is too thick even for them before things start to shift. And I'll be honest, while Ava may have been putting herself at arms length, Cameron didn't back down whatsoever and pushed back when needed. I think both of them definitely grew towards the end of the story, and the protectiveness that Cam has for Ava is amazing.

Speaking of protectiveness, her brother and Cam's entire family is amazing. It's one thing I really love about these small towns is how much everyone is treated like family even if they're not blood related. Except of course gross men who come in unannounced... IYKYK who I'm talking about and let me say the way Cam and Ava's brother dealt with everything when they found out was awesome.

Now the selfish part of me wanted more after the end. I felt like I could've read more into these two longer than where it ended to wrap up the story even more for me. There were a couple of slow spots for me, but honestly it could have just been a me thing and everything in my day to day life that made it feel like that, but I do think some moments could've been cut.

Overall, I really enjoyed this story! The push and pull between the two, the emotional drama, not to mention a bit of suspense laced within the fact that Cameron is a pro athlete that is the cherry on top. I really love this series and I so cannot wait for the next book to come out!

That's all for my review, I hope you enjoyed it and be sure to one-click your copy today!

So until the next time, keep reading!

Your Graduated Bookworm!! :)
