BODY CHECK is a standalone hockey romance novel. It contains a one-night stand, a billionaire heroine, a hot hockey player, obnoxious yet loveable teammates, goofy text threads, wit, plenty of steam, and a happy ending. This book does reference the death of a parent off the page.

Review:

Okay, so I know my posting of reviews might be backwards since I already shared my review for book 2: Face Off, but I did actually read these in order! I'll say it again though, call me a Teagan Hunter Hockey Romance fan because I am here for it all!

Right from the beginning I was SUCKED IN on Hutch and Auden, it's unbelievable! I couldn't stop reading their story and binged the whole thing in a day. This was a roller coaster ride of emotion, a page-turner that had me devouring the words and wanting to see what was happening next!

One thing that I really loved with these two were the "Strikes" concept. It had me giggling like a school girl, not to mention their banter. LOVED IT! Also though, how was it that as I continued to read Hutch & Auden's story, that I was wishing I was a billionaire that could go and travel to any place I wanted at any time... like hello vacations with a hot hockey player? YES PLEASE!

Throughout the story, I really loved the development of the characters, both individually, with work and together. Like is work really enough, or can you actually have it all with love and a successful career? I think it plays into both of their own personalities and really has them working through their own stuff to realize exactly what they want... which hello, is one another!

And the steam? The Jersey moment? These two were hot, hot, hot! The hiding, the secrets, trying to keep a distance but knowing full well the attraction is oh so strong between them. And when it comes down to it all, do they risk their career or love for the other? You'll have to read to find out what happens, cause it's amazing!

Another aspect which I love with sports romance is you get to read the perfect amount of hockey mixed within this romance. And on top of that, the hilarious moments with Hutch and the other players on the team and "club". I'm always here for those laugh out loud scenes that are of secondary characters!

Overall this was a great read! All the angst and forbidden vibes, the clear attraction they have, but also those intimate moments where it's just the two of them learning more about the other. There were so many layers here, of course including the hockey aspect itself that I loved, it was truly a great read! I can't wait to read more of this series!
