Summary:
Victoria had always had her life planned out... until that one moment when everything was ripped away leaving her feeling empty, scared, and insecure. Now, the only two pieces holding her together are her best friends.

Enter Auston Scott. A handsome stranger with green eyes, a bearded jawline, and sexy as hell three-piece suit. This new Principal—and her boss—looks as if he has just walked out of a GQ magazine.

Can Victoria let go of her past so she can fall for the man of her dreams and ignite a passion that she didn't know could exist outside of the novels she teaches her English students?

She knows she shouldn't go there, but what she doesn't realize is that the new Principal holds a dark secret, one that could tear Victoria apart.

Review:
First I'd like to thank Alexandria for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review! If you don't know, this amazing friend of mine is also a bookstagrammer, and a Canadian babe, and I'm super proud of her for publishing her first book! This is no way changes my review.

So right off the bat, I seriously love the fact that this story is based in Canada, and from areas that I actually know... LOL

As a debut novel, this is such a good book! There are a few different topics to this novel that Alexandria hits, and it was perfect! And when I tell you the steam factor his there... its a HOT ONE! 🔥

So for me, I knew that Victoria and Auston have a great thing going, and I KNEW there was a shoe going to drop, but I just didn't know when. I had an idea of what it would be, but again knowing something had to come was killing me!

Apart from a workplace, boss/employee romance, this book touches on so many other topics that I really enjoyed reading and seeing Victoria begin to break free/ grow from. There's loss, anxiety, mental health, body image... all of these factors that have touched one or all and I think she wrote them beautifully.

With this being a small town as well, people love to talk. And gossip. Let's take a second to appreciate Victoria's friends. Their dynamic is amazing, and I really love that she had those two by her side the whole time. I also love Victoria's growth on her own. When she finally stuck up for herself to those old high school bullies, I was cheering her on! Of course Auston also helped play a role into her truly loving herself, her body and to not feel like she needs to hide.

Overall, I really enjoyed this story! The only thing for me is that I wished there was a bit more at the end. But that's just the greedy part of me who always wants more! Other than that, this was a great first novel!

That's all for my review, I hope you enjoyed it! Be sure to check out Hot for the Principal!

So until the next time, keep reading!
Your Graduated Bookworm! :)
