Summary:
It’s been two years since I was traded to the Stone Riders Motorcycle Club.
While it saved my life, I was forced to leave behind the only person that ever mattered to me.
Dripping with tattoos, his hair as dark as his soul, the brooding president of the Death Raiders still holds my heart...even if he doesn't seem to know what to do with it.
Yet, Silas has watched me from afar for years, always protecting me from a distance, and creating havoc on my tattered emotions.
To love, and be loved an arm's length away has been torture…until it seemed we might finally free ourselves of this pain.
Unfortunately, whatever we wanted, or could have dreamed of having gets ripped out of reach when old enemies return.
While one wants power, the other....only wants me.
I’ll grieve the dream of a future with Silas because if there’s one thing I know, it's that there is no world in which he would ever share me with another.
If this is to be our end, then I'll say goodbye with ink-stained arms wrapped around me and death itself still holding my heart.
Review:
First, I'd like to thank Ashley for sending me a copy in exchange for a review! I have to say Silas' book has been a long time coming so you know everyone (myself included) has been excited to read this story!!
From the beginning, you're thrown in this back and forth of past and present to see what happened between Silas and Natty. They've grown up together, so a lot of things have happened to their lives from the past leading to the present. I'll admit, selfishly I wanted to read more of the present, but I get the buildup leading to it all!
I was definitely on the edge of my seat wanting to know what was going to happen next, and there were definitely some parts I didn't expect to happen that caught me off guard. It was a wild ride for sure, and man Natty is pretty strong to still be standing after everything that went down!
Now personally for me, I still don't change my views on Silas' brother Alec. There are scenes that were written that have you flip flopping in your mind on whether he's a bad guy or a good guy, because you want him to be good in the end of it all, but with everything he did to Natty and his very intense obsession of her, I just didn't love him the way we were wanting to love him. I do think it's possible for people to change their ways, but there was a lot of dark things that Alec did (even if he was protecting Natty from something even darker) that I just wasn't a fan of.
I will say I still don't forgive Ashley for one particular scene regarding a couple of members that I fell in love with right from the start. That one had me shaken up and totally didn't expect what their story was about and the direction it took! I mean COME ONN Don't play with a girl like that!
Other than that, I mean you know Silas and Natty are gonna be hot together. With years of this back and forth, her being in hiding, and all of the club politics going on... when they're finally able to be together, it's hot and heavy!
One thing I love the most... The Stone Riders. Honestly from the beginning of the series until now, you really see this love they all have for one another, even if sometimes it not the "Right way" to do things. The way they so fiercely protected Natty without a question was amazing, and to have a family like that to protect, care, and love you no matter what is going on, is a strong found family to have!
Overall, this was an emotional, dark, sad, heartbreaking, and repairing from beginning to end. I couldn't put it down! While there are a few things that I didn't love of the book, this was a good story that tied everything up to end a series!
That's all for my review, I hope you enjoyed it, and be sure to check out the entire series if you haven't yet!
So until next time, keep reading!
Your Graduated Bookworm!! :)
