Review:
First I'd like to thank Alexandria for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review. Now let me tell you, this may have been a step-sibling romance, but the spice was not lacking...
From the beginning you can tell that Zara and Nico just do not get along. There's a lot of push and pull with hate laced throughout, however you can also get that angst and sexual tension of both wanting what they shouldn't have.
One thing for me, is I wished there was a bit more sneaking around. It is a taboo subject and definitely a forbidden romance even if they're not blood related... so I was hoping there would be more moments of that, where you feel like they're about to get caught. It felt like it was more noticeable to outsiders that they were hooking up.
There's one part at the end where I wasn't expecting it at all, but I had a sneaking suspicion that something was going on. Throughout the book, you just get this feeling that a shoe is about to drop, but nothing exact to pinpoint on. It definitely kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen between Zara and Nico!
Overall this was a good story, and definitely hot and heavy. I do wish there was more to the story though, and I felt like some parts were just skipped over, like the fact that he took her V-card, but it was pretty much never mentioned. I think a little more time and pages to help develop their characters would have helped bring it to another level. But I was entertained, and they weren't shy of keeping things hot!
That's all for my review, I hope you enjoyed it and be sure to check it out if you're looking for some step-sibling romances.
So until the next time, keep reading!
Your Graduated Bookworm!! :)
