Baby Mine By: Kennedy Fox

Baby Mine (Roommate Duet #1)
Author: Kennedy Fox
Published: April 2019
Publisher: Kennedy Fox
Format: ARC E-Book
Pages: 340
Rating: 5/5
Synopsis:
I saw her first.
Blonde. Gorgeous. Feisty.
I was smitten.

But it didn’t matter because she chose him and he was my best friend and roommate. I’d never be able to compete with that, so I pushed her away instead. It was easy when she lived hours away, and I didn’t have to see her every day, but then she moved in with us.
Now, I’m screwed.

To her singing in the shower every morning, dancing in the kitchen while she makes coffee, and doing yoga in our living room, I can’t stop thinking about her in all the wrong ways. She’s not mine and never will be, but that doesn’t stop me from wanting to push her against a wall and claim her mouth.

She’s constantly on me for making messes, bringing chicks home every weekend, and being a smartass when their PDA gets on my nerves. Considering neither of them know how I feel, it’s not fair for the way I act toward them. I should move out so I can get over her for good; however, the selfish part of me can’t let go.

And then the unthinkable happens...
When my best friend dies in a motorcycle accident, the two of us are left to grieve our loss together. Instead of pushing her away, I pull her closer.

Just as we come to terms with our new reality, she finds out she’s pregnant with his baby.

And I’m left to make the hardest decision of my life.

Review:
First I want to say another huge thanks to Kennedy Fox for always sending me an ARC for review, you both are absolutely amazing... but now I'd also like to really junk punch you after reading this amazing new series!!

I'm not even joking... mkay?!

So I've finally come to terms that Kennedy Fox will always be part of my TOP 3 list of ultimate favourite authors, and I'll leave you to ladies to wonder where you stand on that list after the roller coaster ride you've left me in from reading Baby Mine. This was such a beautiful, tragic, heart-wrenching and yet amazingly filled with love all at the same time.

interview crying GIFWhen it comes to the motorcycle accident that happens in the novel (This isn't a spoiler guys... it's literally in the synopsis.) I saw it coming in a way, because of course I read the reason as to why K&F decided to write this novel, and of course had me in friggen tears the entire time! So once I got to that part, I truly felt like I was living in the story as one of their friends, and I felt like I couldn't do a damn thing about it *News flash Morgan... You can't it's a fictional novel* but the feels were all there.

One second I'm okay, and then all of a sudden BAM it just hits you without a notice, and I'm on the verge of tears (Which is hard to do for me when it comes to reading!)

The connection that Lennon and Hunter had in the beginning seriously wanted me to slap him across the face more than once, EVEN though I knew how he felt the entire time. EVEN when I knew the reasons for why he acted the way he did, I couldn't help but be so irritated as much as Lennon was. But in the blink of an eye everything begins to shift, and you see his true emotions come out, and how caring he is for her, regardless of their past and current feelings. You see how Hunter steps up and seriously becomes this amazing man who will do anything it takes for Lennon.

When you're reading from both POV's you get where they both are coming from, and how completely messed up their feelings are. How everything somehow unravels and yet gets sewn back together at the same time. Lennon is going through a HUGE ride of emotions, and she can't trust herself, because she can't determine which is real and which is hormonal. As much as they both want to deny it, you can't! The sexual tension between the two is apparent, and for the rest of the book you're yelling at them both to just get together!

oh my god omg GIF by Good GirlsI don't want to spoil anything for anyone who hasn't read it yet, and honestly this entire book is quotable, but I just can't get over this story. And the cliffhanger the size of mount Everest that Kennedy Fox left us all in... Like truly, WHAT THE ACTUAL F***! I am not okay with how you both ended that, and the fact that we have to wait--yes I know it's not a long wait but still-- is not okay with me! Why do you gotta play a girl like that?

Overall this was an amazing story! The characters had me so invested in their story, I felt like I was living inside it. The heart-wrenching pain Lennon goes through with losing the love of her life just as she finds out she's pregnant leaves both her and Hunter with an extremely complicated path. This was such a fast paced novel, which definitely had me hooked from the first page, and wanting so much more, with some unanswered questions I'm sure to get in book 2.

That's all for my review of Baby Mine, I hope you enjoyed it, and seriously if you haven't read any of their books... what are you doing?!

So until the next time, Keep Reading!

Your Graduated Bookworm!! :)
